This continuing education course will include a review of the historical development of Child Centered Play Therapy. Participants will gain an understanding of the selection and categorization of the toys used within the play setting along with the play room setup. The basic skills of tracking, reflecting feelings and reflecting content will be discussed, applied and practiced. Conducting an effective intake session with parents and writing effective progress notes will round out this course.
